How to Take SodaSlim: Dose, Timing and Caffeine
One capsule daily, thirty days a bottle. What the label says, why the morning instruction belongs to the seller rather than the bottle, and the caffeine to count before you stack anything else.

Quick answer
Take one SodaSlim capsule daily, with water, in the morning.
The label asks for one capsule a day, so a 30-capsule bottle lasts 30 days. Each capsule holds 138 mg of caffeine, so add it to your coffee and tea and keep the day under the 400 mg FDA cites.
Before you start, read the safety notes.
Directions
One capsule a day, and the six things around it
Thirty capsules, thirty servings, thirty days. The label’s instruction is one sentence; the useful part is what it leaves out.
The label prints the instruction in one line: “As a dietary supplement, take one (1) capsule daily.” One capsule is one serving, the panel is written for that serving, and thirty capsules is thirty days. Note what the label does not say: it does not say morning. The morning instruction comes from the seller’s listing card and the supplied pack, not from the bottle — and on a capsule carrying 138 mg of caffeine, when you take it is the part that matters most.
Write down the date you paid
The 60-day money-back window runs from the date of purchase rather than from the day you open the bottle. It is the most useful thing to note before you start, and nobody ever notes it.
Do the caffeine arithmetic first
One capsule is 138 mg of caffeine plus up to about 3.9 mg from the green tea row. Add that to what you already drink and see where the day lands against the 400 mg FDA cites — before the first capsule, not after the first bad night.
Take one capsule daily, with water, in the morning
The label says one capsule daily and stops. The morning part is the seller’s advice, and on this formula it is right: MedlinePlus notes caffeine’s effects last four to six hours.
Keep the time of day steady
Not because the label asks, but because a stimulant taken at a different hour each day produces a different day each day, and you will not be able to tell the capsule apart from the timing.
Weigh once a week, the same way, and write it down
Daily weighing measures water and dinner. Once a week gives you something to look at on day fifty that is not a memory.
Stop if you feel unwell, and say so to a clinician
Two of the five ingredients carry published liver-injury reports. The signs are listed further down this page, and none of them is a reason to wait and see.
The practical part
Timing, food, missed days, and the capsule itself
Morning, and whose instruction that is
The listing card says “1 CAPSULE DAILY / SUGGESTED MORNING”. The bottle says only “take one (1) capsule daily”. The morning part is the seller’s advice rather than the label’s — and on this formula it happens to be good advice, because 138 mg of caffeine taken at four in the afternoon is a conversation with your sleep. MedlinePlus notes caffeine’s effects last “four to six hours”.
So the seller is right and the bottle is silent. Take this capsule at three in the afternoon and you have carried roughly a cup of coffee’s worth of caffeine into your evening. The morning is not a rule from the manufacturer; it is the obvious consequence of the number on the panel.
With food or without
The label does not say, so either is within the directions. There is a practical argument for breakfast rather than an empty stomach: NCCIH lists nausea and abdominal discomfort among the side effects reported for green tea extract supplements. Food does not change what the capsule contains, only how the first twenty minutes go.
A missed day
Take the next one at the usual time and carry on. Do not take two: the caution panel says “do not exceed recommended dose”, and two capsules is 276 mg of caffeine in one swallow. There is nothing to catch up on, and a missed capsule costs one day of a thirty-day bottle.
Opening the capsule
Don’t. The shell opens easily, but the contents include 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous as a loose powder, and powdered caffeine is notoriously hard to portion by eye — FDA notes that “The FDA estimates toxic effects, like seizures, can be observed with rapid consumption of around 1,200 milligrams of caffeine, or less than 1/2 teaspoon of pure caffeine.” Splitting a capsule turns a measured 138 mg into a guess. If swallowing it is difficult, that is a conversation with a pharmacist.

138 mg
The caffeine arithmetic, before anything else
One capsule is about 142 mg. FDA cites 400 mg a day. Everything else you drink counts towards the same total.
The panel declares caffeine anhydrous at 138 mg per capsule, and the green tea extract adds up to about 3.9 mg more (its standardisation says “<3% caffeine” of 130 mg). Call it about 142 mg a capsule. MedlinePlus puts an 8-ounce cup of coffee at 95–200 mg, so one capsule is a cup of coffee in a capsule — which is neither alarming nor trivial. FDA cites 400 mg a day as an amount “not generally associated with negative effects” in healthy adults, and notes there is “wide variation in both how sensitive people are to the effects of caffeine and how fast they eliminate it from the body”. The label declares “Contains Caffeine”, which is correct and useful. What it does not do is tell you the number is a third of a day’s allowance before you have had breakfast.
Do this before you stack anything else on top
Start at about 142 mg for the capsule. MedlinePlus puts an 8-ounce brewed coffee at 95–200 mg, an 8-ounce tea at 14–60 mg, a 12-ounce cola at 35–45 mg and an 8-ounce energy drink at 70–100 mg. A capsule and two ordinary coffees is somewhere between 332 and 542 mg, and the top of that range is over the 400 mg FDA cites. A capsule, one coffee and a cola is 272 to 387 mg, which is under it. The difference between those two days is one cup.
The things easiest to miss are the ones that do not look like caffeine: a pre-workout powder, a “metabolism” tea, a second fat-burner. NCCIH notes that “some supplements contain large amounts of caffeine or caffeine-containing herbs such as guarana, which may cause increased heart rate and abnormal heart rhythms.”
There is a calculator on the home page that totals a day with the capsule already counted, and the figures in it are all federal. Count your day against the 400 mg figure, or read the whole caffeine page for the ranges, the timings and the list of people MedlinePlus says should ask a clinician first.
Safety
The liver signs, the two conversations, and storage
Two of the five ingredients in this capsule carry published reports of liver injury, and they arrive together. Green tea extract, per NCCIH: “Although uncommon, liver injury has been reported in some people who used green tea products, primarily green tea extracts in tablet or capsule form.” NCCIH adds that people with a particular genetic variant appear especially susceptible, and that between 5 and 15 per cent of Americans carry it. Garcinia cambogia, per NCCIH: “Numerous reports of liver toxicity have been reported in people who were taking garcinia cambogia products”, and “Several cases of liver damage have been reported. Some of these cases were severe, but this appears to be uncommon.” Neither of those is a reason to panic about one capsule. Both are reasons to know what you are taking and to stop if you feel unwell.
The signs worth knowing before day one
Unusual tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, pain under the right ribs, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes. Any of those means stop taking the capsule and speak to a clinician the same week. Both federal pages call these reports uncommon. Neither calls them impossible.
Two conversations worth having first
If you take an antidepressant, this is a pharmacist conversation before the first capsule: NCCIH reports that “Interactions between garcinia cambogia and some drugs affecting the liver and some drugs affecting serotonin have been reported.” And if you already take anything affecting the liver, the caution panel has told you what to do — consult a physician prior to use.
Storage, which is duller and still matters
Store below 30 °C in a cool, dry place, keep it out of reach of children, and do not use it if the safety seal is damaged or missing. A bathroom cabinet is warm and humid; a kitchen cupboard is neither. Keep the capsules in the original bottle, which is the thing carrying the caution panel.
The calendar
The 60-day window, and how to use it properly
The pack states 60 days from purchase, unless the sales page prints a longer window. Note where it starts: from the date you pay, not from your first capsule. Read it on the sales page before you pay and screenshot it with the date showing.
Read that as a calendar rather than a promise. The window runs from the date of purchase, not from the day you start, and at one capsule a day a bottle is thirty days. One bottle therefore finishes with a month of the window still open. Three bottles is ninety days, and thirty of those fall outside it. Six bottles is a hundred and eighty days, and four of the six are still sealed when it closes.
The discipline that makes the window usable
Write the purchase date somewhere you will find it and put a note in a calendar for day fifty rather than day sixty, because a refund has to be requested rather than considered. Keep the order number, the email you ordered with, and the bottle. And decide in advance what you will look at on day fifty: a weekly weight written down, whether your mornings changed, and whether you slept worse.
One decision to make before the pack, not after
180 consecutive days of 138 mg of caffeine is a habit rather than a trial, and MedlinePlus is clear about what habits do: excessive use can cause “dependency, so you need to take more of it to get the same results”, and stopping brings headaches, drowsiness and irritability for a few days. That is an argument for choosing the length of the experiment before you buy.
Questions
SodaSlim FAQ: how to use questions
How do I take SodaSlim?
The label says: “As a dietary supplement, take one (1) capsule daily.” That is the entire instruction.
Should I take it in the morning?
The listing card says morning; the bottle does not say. On this formula the card’s advice is sound, because 138 mg of caffeine taken late will sit with you — MedlinePlus notes caffeine’s effects last four to six hours.
With food or without?
Not stated. Caffeine on an empty stomach is uncomfortable for some people, and NCCIH lists nausea and abdominal discomfort among green tea extract’s side effects, so with breakfast is the easier experiment.
What if I miss a day?
Take the next one at the usual time. Do not double it: the label’s own caution says “do not exceed recommended dose”, and on a capsule carrying 138 mg of caffeine that is not a formality.
Can I open the capsule?
The label does not say. It is a hypromellose shell rather than a coated tablet, so there is no release mechanism to defeat, but 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous loose on a spoon is bitter and easy to mismeasure. Swallow it.
How should I store it?
The label says: cool and dry, below 30°C (86°F), out of reach of children, and do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing.
